Terms of using TeachDrop

1. Who you are contracting with

TeachDrop (“the service”) is provided by SummitStrive Investments Limited (“we”, “us”), a private company registered in Kenya under company number PVT-5JUZ59X3, whose registered office is at HH Towers, Kenyatta Avenue, Nairobi CBD, Starehe District, Nairobi County, Kenya. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

2. What the service does

TeachDrop lets creators of educational resources upload their own PDF materials, generate watermarked page samples, share those samples through private links, and see whether the samples were opened and whether a viewer clicked through to their store. Where you connect a store, we read only your public product listings, with your verified consent.

3. What the service does not do

We do not sell educational resources, host storefronts, or process buyers’ payments for your resources. Sample watermarks deter misuse and identify recipients; no technology can make a page on a screen impossible to copy, and we do not claim otherwise. We do not measure sales, and nothing in the service attributes a purchase to a sample: your selling platform offers us no purchase confirmation, so what we report is that a sample was opened and that someone clicked through to your store — never that a sale followed.

4. Your account

Sign-in is by one-time codes emailed to you; you are responsible for the security of that email address. Accounts are for a single creator. You must be at least 18 and able to enter contracts.

5. Free trial and paid plans

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial of the full service, no payment details required. After the trial, a paid subscription is required to upload resources or create new samples; your content remains stored and samples you already shared keep working. Paid plans may include monthly sample allowances; allowances count samples created within a billing month, and deleting resources or samples does not restore allowance already used.

6. Billing, renewal and cancellation

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops future charges; the paid tier remains active until the end of the period already paid for. Contact us to cancel or change plans and it is handled the same working day.

7. Acceptable use

Upload only materials you own or are licensed to distribute. Do not use the service to infringe copyright, to spam communities, to misrepresent someone else’s store as your own, or to attempt to access other creators’ data. We may suspend accounts that do.

8. Your content

Your uploaded materials remain yours. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the service: storing your files, rendering watermarked samples from them, and serving those samples to the recipients you choose. We never sell, share or train on your materials, and original files are never made publicly downloadable. Deleting a resource removes its files and samples from the service.

8a. Public-conversation discovery

A forthcoming feature surfaces public social-media posts about the teaching-resources marketplace to subscribed sellers. How that works, what is stored, and how anyone — account or not — can opt out is described at teachdrop.org/privacy/social-listening. TeachDrop never posts, replies, or messages on any platform on your behalf, and never links a social account to any other identity.

9. Availability and changes

The service is provided as-is and evolves; features may change. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

10. Ending your account

You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your account and content by contacting us. We may close accounts that break section 7, with notice where practical.

11. Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the service or by email. Continued use after a change is acceptance of it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Nothing in them limits consumer protections you hold under the laws of your own country.
