Privacy at TeachDrop

Two parts of the product have a notice of their own, because they are the two that reach data belonging to someone who never signed up: the browser extension and social listening. They are linked below. Everything else — your account, your uploads, your billing, the samples you share and who opened them, and the drafts the reply engine keeps — is covered by the terms and by the list of companies further down this page. This paragraph used to say there was a separate notice for every part of the product that touches data, which was more than was true.

The browser extension

What the Chrome extension reads, when it reads it, and where that goes: the extension privacy notice. Short version: it reads only your own store page, only when you click it, and sends that product list to your own TeachDrop account.

Social listening

What TeachDrop Discovery collects from public posts, what it will never store, and how to remove yourself: the social listening notice. It includes an opt-out form that works whether or not you have an account.

The companies your data passes through

TeachDrop is a small operation running on other companies’ infrastructure, so some of your data reaches them in the course of doing what you asked for. This is the whole list, and what each one gets.

• Neon — the database. Your account, your product titles and descriptions, and the records described in the notices above.
• Cloudflare R2 — file storage. Your uploaded PDFs, and the watermarked page images rendered from them.
• Vercel — runs this website and its scheduled jobs.
• Render — runs the separate service that opens your PDF and renders page images from it.
• Anthropic — the model that writes reply drafts. It receives the post you paste in and the titles and descriptions of your catalogue. It never receives your files. Anthropic’s commercial terms state that API inputs are not used to train their models.
• OpenRouter — carries those same model requests on their way to Anthropic: the same data, one more company in the path. The request names Anthropic as the only permitted host and forbids substitution, so a request that cannot reach Anthropic fails rather than being served from somewhere else.
• Stripe — subscription billing. Your card details go to Stripe and never to us.
• Resend — sends the email we send you.

The two model companies are the only ones on that list that do nothing until you act. Anthropic and OpenRouter receive nothing unless you paste a post in and ask for a draft, so if you never use reply drafting, no model ever sees anything of yours. Discovery also sends searches to X and Bluesky, which is covered in the social listening notice.

Asking us about your data

You can close your account yourself, from Settings. That deletes your uploads, your samples and their view history, your imported catalogue, your drafts and your listings, and it cannot be undone. Two things survive on purpose: a buyer’s receipt keeps existing with your name removed from it, and a request from someone asking not to be shown stays on record.
